Our commitment to quality and authenticity sets us apart, making Thai Law a beloved local favorite.
Our story began a few years before we started. A combination of love for Thai food and sharing with the support to make it work turned into a family-owned and operated love affair to get it on the road to you.
The cook at Thai Law is a native born and raised Thai from the center of the country. While growing up she learned a few things. One was authentic local recipes and another, people must eat. She also believes people eat with their eyes first. In Thailand, there is a mantra when it comes to food, when you cook, make it nice and plentiful. She married a gentleman in the service who later followed him into retirement. When he was active, his Soldiers always got something from her and they enjoyed it so much they wanted more. Years later this turned to a thought of making her food available to the biggest audience she could get in front of.
Supporting this dream, her husband and partner, asked her one evening if she might like to go mobile. The answer was a quick yes as if she was thinking it all along. He began nailing down her searches for something suitable to deliver her dream. Once located through the thick and thin, a way was found. We landed on a private tour bus which had been converted into an ice cream concessionaire.
The conversions were her ideas and his doings.
With no idea except a drive to make it work, we drove on one step at a time. We got our feet wet at a friend's brewery. Then we decided to try bigger and set out to take up residence at a food park. We learned about events and what they could mean to us. As a mobile food operation, we decided to do both remain in the food park for our clientele and hook up and go to events from there, for the experience. We have celebrated many holidays at events with Thai Law. We broke all our norms.
Still, to this day, education of food, taste, and culture remain very important to Thai Law.
